We Have Good News!

No matter who you are, you’ve been created in God’s image, created to glorify God by enjoying him above all things. But we could not have failed any more miserably than we have. Everyone of us has rebelled against God’s rule over us and preferred sinful pleasures over delighting in God and his ways. Our sin has separated us from God, bringing sickness and death in the world, and as a result, we deserve his eternal judgement. But the great news is that God has made a way for our sins to be forgiven. God sent His Son, Jesus, to be crucified, so that He would take the punishment we deserve for our rebellion. And all who turn away from living in rebellion against God and believe in this good news are no longer separated from God, but are given new life now and for eternity.

We really do have great news! In fact this news is the reason Covenant Baptist Church exists. Our purpose is to delight in Christ and lead others to do the same. We are passionate about pursuing Christ and crossing barriers with the gospel to display His activity in Valdosta, Georgia, and all over the world by making mature, life-long, covenant-keeping disciples of Christ.
